Dr. Tolcher became a full-time pediatrician in 1996 and has cared for patients in the San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley and surrounding areas for over 28 years. 


Dr. Tolcher graduated summa cum laude with a Certificate of College Honors from U.C.L.A. in 1988, and then graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine in 1992.  U.C.S.F. medical school inducted him into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Headed Cane Society.  Dr. Tolcher completed his residency training in pediatrics at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in 1995 and was appointed Chief Resident in Pediatrics from 1995-96. In his career he has held several leadership positions with the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (A.A.P.), including being the Chair of the Committee on Pediatric Practice for A.A.P. Chapter 2, as well as a member of the Executive Board of the A.A.P. Chapter 2, and Chair of the A.A.P.'s Pediatric Council for the state of California.  He serves as the Co-Chair of the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Care Network’s Committee on Quality and Care Transformation, and has spent some time as a regional medical director for pediatric practices across California.  


Dr. Tolcher is married, has three daughters, and two granddaughters.  When he is not practicing medicine, he is usually reading about medicine, rocking out to the group Foreigner (he is a classic and hard rock fan), and playing with his granddaughters.
